Quick answers

Common questions.

The essentials about accounts, privacy, supported devices, and learning workflows.

Do I need my own API key?

No. Sign in with Apple to use FeynmanLM’s managed AI with prepaid credits. Provider credentials stay on FeynmanLM’s server.

Where is my library stored?

Your sources, study data, and generated artifacts stay in your private iCloud container. FeynmanLM keeps its SQLite database and source files there so they can sync across your Apple devices. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Which Apple devices are supported?

FeynmanLM is available for Mac and iPhone. There is no Apple Watch app.

Can I answer reviews with my voice?

Yes. FeynmanLM supports voice input and live voice tutoring. You can configure speech and voice options in Settings.

What does the MCP connector do?

It lets an MCP-capable assistant search your library, read sources, plan your Learning Journey, and run Feynman reviews with you. It is optional. See Connect an AI Assistant.

How does Learning Journey progress work?

Progress is based on completed or linked Feynman reviews. Reading or listening helps you study, but scheduled work is complete once its review session is saved.

How do I add a paper from behind a paywall?

Download the PDF, then add it to FeynmanLM from your Mac. See Papers in the docs for the current workflow.

How are managed AI costs calculated?

Managed AI uses prepaid credits. One credit covers one cent of the complete provider and OpenRouter cost. The ledger remains precise below a cent, and larger packs discount the standard checkout margin.
